There is also the option of taking on a volunteer position. In that case you and your sponsoring company need to complete the Acknowledgement of unpaid placement forms.
Yes. This visa is to enhance your skills, not to obtain skills. You will have to have at least 12 months of full-time work experience (or 24 months if part-time) in your nominated occupation and/or 12 months of recent qualifications in your field. Work experience and/or qualifications must have been gained in the last 24 months.
You will have to prove that you have at least functional English, which is equivalent to 4.5 in IELTS (PTE: 30, TOEFL: 32, CAE: 147).
You can be in Australia or outside Australia when applying for the 407 visa.
