The Hon Minister Giles MP, Minister for Skills and Training, has approved the Institution of Surveyors New South Wales (ISNSW) as the new assessing authority for the Surveyor occupation (ANZSCO 232212).
This appointment ensures continuity in the assessment process for skilled migration in the Surveyor occupation.
Key Considerations:
- ISNSW cannot process skills assessments yet. They must first be formally listed by the Department of Home Affairs in a legislative instrument under the Migration Regulations 1994. The timing for this listing is not confirmed.
- This follows the liquidation of the Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA) on 21 August 2025, which immediately stopped accepting applications.
- Once ISNSW is officially listed, they will begin processing skills assessments, with updates published on the Federal Register of Legislation
