ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List Update

The ACT Government has updated the Critical Skill List for the 2025-26 program year, now known as the ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List. The list has been reduced from 152 ANZSCO 4-digit unit groups to 105.

Key updates:

  • The ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List was last updated on 10 October 2025.
  • The list applies to all Canberra Matrix applications, regardless of when they were lodged.
  • The ACT Government noted that while historic skill shortages had eased, it wanted to give applicants in the queue a final opportunity to apply under the old list before the new list took effect.
  • The ACT Government will continue to review the occupation list annually at the start of the new migration program year.
